Spotted this hand axe on E**y

Cheap, can't make out the make, looks similar to a Bahco hand axe http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bahco-Standard-Axe-1-1-4LB/dp/B0001IX7HE it would most likely need some fettling before serious use.

Any use?

400g is no weight for an axe head - i'm no expert, but i can't see it being up to anything serious, and i don't suppose it will take/hold an edge very well.
saying that, for a couple of quid, what have you got to lose?

Might make a nice lightweight hatchet with a bit of work.

400 grs is about 14 oz,a bit lightweight but ok for kindling.

I know what you mean, compared to the bahco (a nice little axe my father inlaw has one) it looks a little weedy, the haft looks thinner, possibly longer too, could just be a bad photo though.
