just finished a sporran for my nephews 18th birthday tomorrow.
The nice brown leather was from a road side dead settee. The heavy leather bits that normally require 3mm veg tan are made from covering split leather with the settee leather using contact adhesive. Hand stitched round the edges and machine stitched for the body of the pouch.
I made some antler embelishments and boiled them in chagga to give an aged finish. A big hammer type leather punch and wee one made the leather washers. Thanks for looking.
