Spider Crab

Whilst camping in North Wales last week we decided due to the hot weather to have a swim in the sea.
I never expected to literally stumble across two Spider Crabs in about 2 feet of water. Needless to say the larger of the two was hauled out and became our tea.


Cooked it over a raised bbq as per campsite rules using a metal tripod and zebra billy we luckily packed at the last minute.
Very tasty and extremely fresh. Pretty ugly looking crab though.
Just gonna watch my toes in the sea from now on.

Guernsey has them in almost every bay used to snorkel for them good eating
