I'd love to know how your tanned the dogfish skin, and did you decide to use it due to it's sandpaper like texture?

The set looks amazing, very inspirational stuff indeed.

Tell us about it...what is it inspired by, an existing historical artefact or is it just your own invention/artistry? what is the bearing block made from? Is the end of the spindle replaced often? How often do you use it? How did you treat the fish skin?
Where do you get whale bone?

Wow thats truly amazing. I think everybody else has said it all! Dog fish skin - Ive never seen that used before, it looks wonderful.
