was looking for a pair of lowa mountain boots but after seeing the price around 150 quid , spoke to a mate of mine in the forces.
he mentioned a company on ebay (cfi military ) that come very highly recommended.
they were advertising genuine (latest not current issue) german mountain boots at 80 quid.
these are the new versions with the improvements (breathtex).
they are unbranded but are haix ksk 3000 which retail at a 170 quid.
the boots from the box are extremly comfortable ,and will require little wearing in .
i am a size 8 and most boots tend to be slightly oversized but these are quirte snug so if you wear a few pairs of socks it maybe worth going up a size
