Hi folks, i thought you might like a squint at some pics of a wander i had on Monday.
The stile i go through on my way out.
Heading down the field,i thought this was a contradiction in terms, snow and Gorse flowers.
Going toward the wood i came upon fox track and its calling card
Heading through the wood i found a frozen solid Jews ear (Auricularia auricula-judae).
After coming out of that wood i headed to the river and took this shot.
After crossing the river i entered another wood,i know there are a few Roe deer in this one. There was plenty of sign, though i did'nt actually see any Deer this visit
A single hair in the snow.
Plus feeding sign.
Well heading back out of the wood and bound for home,i noted that spring is just around the corner, and that mother nature still carries on regardless of the weather conditions.
A green Hazel catkin.
And a last couple of shots taken next to the Trig point on top of the hill, just up from our house.
Looking S/W
Looking S/E, theres sna' on the way!!! so time to head back to the house for a warming cuppa.
A great day out in the cold, and thanks for looking.
Cheers Stuart.
