Socks and underwear!

This may sound like a silly question but how many pairs of socks and pants should you take on a 16 day trip? Cheers

1 clean spare

or 16 if your taking a car or a suitcase??? or are you trying to hike the as others have said 3 or 4 but make sure there not 100% cotton or they will take longer to dry.

why not tell us more about the type of trip your planning to take ?

I can easily 'grand-slam' 2 pairs of dung hampers per day; this will also affect my socks if the leg elastic is perished or I'm wearing boxers. I'd suggest 6 pairs.

Or go for merino doesn't pong, is comfy and you can wear wet pants as they dry on you quick if necessary. Carrying less in weights a big issue.
