Started snowing here an hour or so ago, got an inch on the main roads atm, and still 12 hours to come apparently. Its below freezing and its not looking good for Rach going to work tomorrow.

Back in't day, i'd have been out in the woods, tent, tarp, fire etc, not anymore. But i know some of you will be...

Hope you're all having fun!

Very light dusting and then sleet turning to rain. I’d been out in the bivi bag prior to this and just come back so I was lucky to miss the rain.

2" of the wet dreary stuff, slushy and melting. Not firm enough to hold any tracks, not cold enough to be dry, it may as well not be here :( - which, I suspect, will be the case in another few hours.

We have about 20cm, its stopped now though. Its only 1c so not really melting much. Snow ploughs have been out in force clearing the main roads, piling it all up at the sides, blocking side streets etc. Lots of folk out with the shovels clearing them all atm. Rach is happy because she got a day off lol.

I've just been out with the dogs. Yes, there's 'snow' - "but not as we know it, Jim". It's comparatively warm and now raining lightly; as a result, it's slushy and wet on top of a frozen-ish ground. Altogether pretty horrible and very disappointing.

I'm due to head home to Sutherland tomorrow, so I'm watching the forecast and road conditions carefully!

Had a decent covering at midnight (West London) but closely followed by a burst of heavy rain that turned everything to slush.

Fog and more slush in Bucks.
