bottom 1 in the pic - unused, 01 with paduak handles and 3mm brass liners - solid as a rock, just not getting used. made by smokepole - an excellent SA maker

judging by the 2 fixed blade biltong knives i have, it's the blade shape, although this will happily cut other stuff, as any other knife could cut biltong!
it was made in S. Africa though, so i guess they know more than us
