Slingshot/Catapult making/shooting

Hey peeps

For anyone interested in the subject, I've come across these two websites - both of which stuffed with info. on making, using and specifically hunting with catapults. Did you know flat bands were better than tubes? Me neither. Check them out:

Never really thought of actually trying to make one, but it seems to be very light, and therefore very suitable to bring on longer hikes. So I might try to master the skills and get myself some dinner this summer...

How affective is a catapult to hunt with? I don't have any experience of them I mean how powerful are they and are they relatively humane i.e. Is it possible to kill a rabbit in one shot with a catapult?

It's certainly possible to kill bunnies with them, i remember a friend doing it when i was a kid. We used to hunt on his farm. Isn't it illegal to hunt with catapults now?
