Hi BushcraftUK
After having waited almost two months for the US army modular sleep system, that I bought on Ebay, the shipping company has now declared the parcel lost and I will get a refund.
That, however, doesn't make my need for a sleeping bag system any smaller.
What I liked about the US system was, that it was a complete setup suitable for all times of year.
My question now is this:
Are there any other alternatives at my price point, or is the US system really the way to go? I don't mind the weight, and I don't mind buying separates, as long as I get bags for all seasons including a bivy.
Regards
EDIT:
Just came home after having spent a night in the modular sleeping system. Temperatures reached around -4 celcius, and I was toasty warm all night. I used both bags and the bivy. Had a few problems with adjusting the hood, but other than that I had a superb night.
Woke up with snow on top of the bivy, which I'd drawn over my head during the night.
All in all, quite the bargain for such a system at it's current price point!
