This is what I've been working on. It's hazel with an alpine spike, finished with twine (inspired by pablo's). It's also got 1cm spaced notches for scale.
It's only been seasoning for a month, but it's quite thin so I'll leave it hanging in my front room and apply Wolfie's lovely linseed mantra.
How much tracking will I do? I don't know, but I will be taking it out every walk.
If anyone has a couple of castration bands going that will finish it off nicely!
