Been going round in circles for a while n ow so thought I might ask the hive mind - I'd really like a short bow - something in the sub 50" range, one piece, with an arrow rest.

anyone able to suggest something in the sub £200 price range?

No arrow rest on the horse bow though, you will have to look at something like a trad style recurve hunting bow to get the rest and the shorter length you are after, they make and sell lots in the usa, try asking on the trad forum here.

The info will be up to date and make sure you tell them you are in the uk. Samick make a one piece field bow, but its 58" long. What are your plans for it?

used to shoot a Samick nice enough but looking for the next level

I tried to get on with a horse bow but as Steve points out no arrow rest - I just can't get the instictive shooting technique without one

trad style recurve hunting bow is the sort of thing i'm thinking

want it for field hunting/shooting

Lot depends on your daw length. Glass or plastic will get the bow length right down. Real trad either a much shorter draw and, or sinew and horn. 58 plus and a normal draw and your back into wood territory. Might be able to help then.
