When washing wool socks and nylons together I sometimes pull them apart with a nice snap, crackle, pop but so far have not electrocuted myself. If this fellow was a bushcrafter, what the heck was he doing indoors anyway?
I did think you guys were a tad old fashion when it came to clothes but last week I was camping and only used a fire to cook on. My fires were small and controled but I was wearing a Goretex Windproof fleece and didn't know until I was packing up to leave that I had a small burn (aka melt) hole in the jacket. I am glad it wasn't a jacket I bought new.
So now I am going to look for a light wool jacket as a cook jacket.No fear of burning down a hotel, I can't afford to stay in them
