Can anyone give me some tips. I've been sharpening my army clasp knife and no matter what i do, i just cant get it shaving sharp. Its sharp, but not razor sharp. I've used diamond stones finishing off with the finest one and then stropped it till I'm blue in the face, even tried wet & dry 2500 grit and stropped it afterwards and still not quite there. Can anyone help.

It might not be designed to be that sharp mate.

Some of the military knives ive come across have a different rc rating i assumed it was to prevent Chipping etc

Probably too soft to get shaving sharp.

Sharpen on a very coarse stone (say, 250grit). Then strop it. It won't feel sharp but I bet it will slice well.
