I am just writing my Bushcraft To Do list for the year, and this one jumped out at me.

In the Sharpe Books, and TV series, they talk about using the French Army Rucsac of that time, because it was better. Looking at it, would work really well for how I want to carry stuff in the future.

Here is the problem, any one got a good website with a pattern, or even decent pictures, or drawings?

Thanks in advance for all you help!

Are you talking about the napoleonic line infantry pack, size of a big shoe box (like for boots) cowhide with the furry side out, 2/3 buckles?

Oh no he would'nt, Napoleonic stuff is well before my time of interest, sorry i only go back as far as WW1.

This company make the WW1 German hide/fur packs(also sell other forces WW1 kit and clothing) which are similar to Napoleonic period, obviously i dont know what you want it for? reenactment?or just want a old school traditional military pack? if its the latter i can recomend this company its kit and clothing is top quality BUT its costly.
