I have been having a great time recently with my carving, I have also been out and about with some good friends.
Mark Lane gave me a call and suggested we took a day out and had a rummage round one of the forests here a bouts. He wanted to practice a little tracking and he also had an interesting geological anomaly that he thought would interest me.

hi Mr Mac, I am very interested in your geological anomaly, and do love the snow goose kuska. cheers.

It was very interesting finding the clay shale. It seems to work well as a fine polishing stone after I dressed it with a brick. Being a spoonmaker I sharpen my edge tools all the time and subsequently get through quite a few King waterstones. Might have saved myself a few quid. Glad you enjoyed the blog...J;-)
