Thought I'd have a go ata scandi this time. Made a lot of mistakes but I'm quite pleased with the result.
Thanks to BanjoBill for donating some of the materials.

This is really nice. What sort of tools do you need to make these type of knives?

I used a dremmel tool for drilling and rough shaping, a hacksaw, files, a ball pein hammer, a vice and sandpaper. a drill press would have been nice and I was fortunate to have a set of small files (about £12 from B&Q) one of which was conveniently the exact thickness of the tang. Very handy. Other than that I used a couple of tools I made myself: a clamp for gluing and a block of wood with a hole in it for hammering the pieces on to the tang evenly.

Really nice work there fella the handle looks amazing with the metal between the leather.

Thanks people, your comments are very encouraging.
A sheath will be the next project, just need to get hold of some suitable leather. I've been thinking of ordering some stuff from leprevo but I don't really know what I'm looking for. Any advice?

Most people use 3mm Veg tanned leather which is available for Le Prevo. I have use this and liked it but for a Scandi style sheath I have worked with 2mm half tanned leather and had goo results.
I depends on what style of sheath you want.
