I am going to Scotland, Aviemore area next week for a few days.

I am getting really excited!

So what are you going to get up to?? some walking? a bushcraft course? some canoeing?? Tell us more so I can think about it while I'm decorating!

I am off to bonnie midgeland in 3-4 weeks, too.

The cairngorms are great. The lairig an laogh is spectacular, its like Tolkein made it to specification.

Hopefully will get up to Dumfries & Galloway over Easter - Are the midges about yet does anyone know? I hate the little b****rs but they seem to love me...

well the main reason I am going is for a job interview. But I am going to have a few days hillwalking & camping.

I love snowy mountains.

I went out for a wander the other day, sat down to enjoy my brew

well I am back, I came back a day early cos I spent all yesterday out in the mountains & got totaly frazzled. The sun on snow was incredibly bright, my face has got really bad sunburn.
There was loads of snow, I barely made it to the top of any peaks cos it was just so slow going through waist deep snow.

Nice one. It looks great. Almost all of our snow has melted already.

Monarch's teaching ski ing up there again this season. He said they'd another three feet of snow dumped on them last week
It's been a good year for the snow sports
