Hull / East Yorkshire
Hi,

Just looking for some advice/ideas/recommendations really.

A friend and I (From Hull/East Yorkshire) are really hoping to get up to Scotland at some point but will be relying on public transport so was wondering if anybody knew of any decent places near bus/train stations or shortish bus ride away from them where we could setup camp in quiet secluded place? Pref woodland or woods near shore as we would also like to forage for some seafood if poss.

Thanks
Adam.

Galloway forest park is probably a good bet. You can get a train to Dumfries then bus it to New Galloway. 300sqm of Forest to play in ;)

Batheaston
Good fishing in the Solway
Usual beach/estuary foraging
I come from that area originally
Its all very beautiful and worthy of exploration
Public transport is fairly good for a rural area
