Scissor steel

Hmmm, good idea, hadn't thought that way. There's not much of a blade mind. They are the plastic handled variety of scissor.

Thought about it being melted and incorporated into a new, fashioned blade.
 
the old traditional metal handled scissors were medium carbon steels, things like en45. This will make a good tough blade if hardened and tempered well but maybe struggle to get quite as hard as some seem to like their bushy blades. Easy enough to get 58r but not 60. For scissors they tend to be tempered softer so you would need to re heat treat.
