Anyone have them?

Madam saw a pair while Googling for some non-clumpy walking boots. I told her not to go on looks alone, but as with most women, she was most persistent. So I suggested we drive an hour to the nearest Go Outdoors and try them properly.

Well, she was right (of course ), they fit her perfectly and are light and flexible. So much so, that I'm hankering for a pair myself. I've been wearing Bates for a couple of years, but don't like the tactical black particularly, though they're incredibly comfortable for my narrow feet.

Anyone here have any views on them, the scant reviews say they're pretty good?

I've had a pair of scarpa fabric gtx boots (can't remember which ones, but they were from go outdoors, and I paid full whack, as they were the widest one they had). They're 2 and half years old, they've had some reasonable hammer -mainly the black peak, full of peat bogs, the soles are about half worn, so somewhere between 1 and 2 thousand miles on them.
They've never leaked, no blisters, no wearing in. First wear -up and down Snowdon -no blisters.
Reasonably comfortable throughout. I normally wear just a thin pair of mountain warehouse liner socks with them.
I've reproofed the outers a couple of times, to stop the outer absorbing water, about time to do them again. When the proofing runs out, the outer gets wet, they feel like they've leaked, but they never have. 5 minutes with a spray proofer and your good to go again. May be a touch warm after a days walking in the summer, but that's the trade off for goretex boots.
The only thing I changed were the insoles, to a pair of sorbothane double strikes, which definitely made them more comfortable after a long days walk.
They were on sale a few months ago, and I would have bought a second pair if they had been available in my size, even though I don't need them at the moment, which I suppose is the best possible recommendation.
