I rarely post here, just do som reading, but I wanted to share this one.

The handle is made from flamed danish ash and the bolster insert is made from hippo ivory.
The sheath is made from half-tan leather with some decoration modelled into it.
The blade is RWL-34 ground out by Uwe Carstensen.

That looks great. The hippo bolster between the darker wood & the steel blade looks sweet. Going to BB now to look at more pics.

Great work, i've not seen a bolster like that before, and you have pulled it off very well :35:. Love the single piece of wood for the handle.

Thank you for all the nice words.

I have had that wood lying around in my box of "extra good stuff" for 4 years now :rolleyes: so it was about time it was used.

I have not seen this kind of bolster solution before either, I'm probably not the first one to do it, but I would like to call the idea my own :)
