I've taken some snaps of the first sample quilt we got delivered today - here are some details - but they can be flexible, just wondering what people think.

I have had a synthetic one before and contemplated a down one, which spurred me on to ask the product guys - they had some ideas and this is the first one.

200 g 750+ Fill power down 90/10 White Goose
Estimated limit temperature: - 2ºC (Definitely sub 0ºC)
Poppers to make into a sleeping bag - kind of.
Drawcords at either end to close it up
Tapered design for weight and usage
Price - Under £90? (Possible group buy in the future?)

What's peoples thoughts?

I'll be out in it soon - just need to find the right time...

mountainm - Will be about - 1ºC approximately.

But as I said - if everyone wants a quilt with a comfort of -5ºC then it can be specced up (it will cost more though!)

Generally a 2-3 season quilt will be comfort - 1ºC/-2ºC

Thanks for the comments mountainm - the down will be ethically sourced, the same sourcing procedure as all Alpkit gear.

Looks nice, couple of questions:-

1, what is the overall weight
2, what is the overall length
3, what is the overall width
4, what is the loft?
5, what is the packed size - a loosely stuffed size and a tightly packed size would be nice to know.
6, how are the baffles constructed - stitched through or box construction?
7, is there/ will there be a choice of material colours?

Hmm maybe more than a couple of questions, but you did ask....

1 - 450 g
2 - 185cm
3 Top -120cm Bottom - 84cm
4 3-4cm loft
5 loosely - 25cmx10cm - Compressed - 15cm x 10cm (but it could go a bit smaller)
6 Stitch thru
7 Most likely not - Probably will be black as pictured.

Hope that helps...

The price would include a stuff sack, the second picture is poppered together and timescale could be August.

Looks like a decent bit of kit Jay, should do well for you

I've already got a number of quilts so I'll be interested to see one, a 0*c quilt for 450g does sound appealing
