SA80 Bayonet

I have been given one of the above tools and was wondering if anyone could give me any info on them.
Does anyone know what steel they are made of?
it appears to be a one piece construction between the handle and blade.

I know it's not a knife but would like to sharpen it so it becomes usable.

They have a tendancy to snap, have fun with it.

Without wanting to teach you to to suck eggs; I'd be wary of using it in public spaces as its a "made" offensive weapon.

They are rubbish and not made to be used as a knife like they were in the old days.

Get it mounted and use it as an ornament.
