Hey all,

Looking at getting one of these as they’re on sale at the moment.

Heard prior horror stories of them being a sweat box but the new ones are marketed as being a lot more breathable?

Just want something tough and waterproof as I work outside all the time.

If not, any recommendations?

Excellent bit of kit but I wouldn’t reccomend it for any kind of activity for the reason you mentioned. I took one to Canada last year and during the one rainstorm we had it held up well though we were just floating along on the river at that point.

Ideal for static / slow movement.

Anything more than that ( although I do bang out some heat ) and it can as you say get a bit moist.

I can absolutely vouch for them being tough and waterproof, and certainly a lot better than the earlier iteration. I have put mine through a tough life, and I haven’t killed it yet, and will replace it when it does eventually give up.

The only thing I dislike about mine is the shape of the hood. It finishes at the top of my head and the back is all stretched and pulling. Hard to describe but a bigger hood would suit me better personally.
