Well, I finally managed to get to test some slug loads at the range. There was not much difference in accuracy between star crimped and roll crimped cases. Both very accurate at 25m and the slug flying nice and straight. The star crimped cases did show more of a variation in speed which is down to the fold crimps being more variable than the roll crimps. I'll stick to roll crimping until I change my MEC press over to 12g. (Currently setup for .410 and it makes surprisingly neat start crimps on new and reused cases, so good I'm reluctant to change the dies over).
I'm still interested to hear it anyone else managed to get the Lee slugs moulds working from the group buy.
