Redcurrant cocktails

Swmbo's just picked a huge tub of redcurrants off one of the bushes in the garden.

Anybody got a suggestion for a punchy little alcoholic number we could use them for.

I've got quite a few bottles of Portugese brandy to get through but I'm not sure if they'd be too bitter for flavoured brandy ?

You could try a variation on a bellini. It works well using rhubarb, so should be ok with redcurrants too. I'd blitz then sieve the fruit to remove seeds and skin.

My wifes favourite are Kir Royals, traditional made with a blackcurrant liquer, Creme De Cassis, give my wife a champagne bar with Kir Royal on the Cocktail list and you can wave good by to the better part of £400, need to start carrying rohypnol to save a fortune in these situations.

argh, i'm always looking for redcurrants, theyre my absolute favourite english berry

theyre nice just blitzed with vodka ice and sugar, my favourite drink there is...(except sloe gin)
