Just in case no one knew about it. Ray's ten minute Tracks programme is being shown every day at 2250 hrs on UKTV Docs. Great shtuff!!

I just posted in another thread about this, you mean it was meant to last 10 mins, I got confused and spent a little while trying to work out if the tv had changed channel.

I will try and tape it tonight (on vhs), is a different episode on each night? as long as i have a spare vhs tape i can use there will be NO COST to any-one who would like to view it. Is this not ILLEGAL as no profit is being made!

Update: Ray Mears Country Tracks is on at 22.50 tonight, tomorrow and Friday. I will tape all 3 watch them and then send the tape on FOR FREE, no P&P either. First to private me get's the tape then please could you do the same and send it on to the next person who wishes to view? :grouphug:

I think I get UKTV docs on cable
email to self at home to set video
& hide remote so the cat doesn't stand on the cancel button again

LED (mark) was first to get in touch so the tape will be on its way to him on monday all being well.

he has agreed to pass the tape on once he has finished with it and also agreed to be contacted regarding this.

Cheers....stu

I'm afraid that it would indeed be illegal regardless of no money being made. Sharing TV programmes in any way (bit torrents, loaning VHS tapes, etc) without the authorisation of the creative owner infringes copyright law. The copyright and contractual agreements for televised programmes only cover broadcasts and not loaning, regardless of media type.

I'd keep this sort of thing to PMs only otherwise the site can be tagged as a piracy site. Ray Mears and the BBC sell these programmes after the broadcasting has been made so allowing them to be loaned out kind of defeats the object... A cheap alternative is to join an internet DVD library and hire Ray's stuff that way.

This kind of talk on the forum could be against the site guidelines as well....

I'm just a messenger and don't necessarily agree with this kind of thing ;)

RM is frequently on the History channel - the other day I taped 6 continual hours of Mr Mears (though some of it I already had).

Doesn't smile on camera very much tho.
