Quick release firesteel handle clip............

I was toying with fitting a quick release clip to my fire steel handle but I didn't like the idea of all those split rings so I came up with this..........

I fitted the female half into the handle and hey presto an nice neat looking firesteel.

All you need to do is drill a hole the size of the female part press it in and using the little hole in the bottom of it fit a small screw to keep it there

Thought I'd share this one.

They sure do

At least yours has a fero rod in it unlike the black pencil I borrowed out of my lad's drawing box

That's much better than the split ring. I like the quick release, but having that ring on the firesteel handle is a real pain.
