Hi
I have just bought a nitecore D10, the question is can I use NiMH rechargable batteries in it, I have checked the forums but they are fairly technical. A laymans answer would be great.

Thanks

I would have thought so - both NiCad and NiMH will provide the correct voltage, the differences being their chemical makeup and how they release their charge. With airsofting batteries, NiCad's provide full power until the very last until they just stop whilst NiMH's gradually gradually provide less power towards the end. Rechargable NiCad's suffer from the 'memory effect' if their not fully discharged whilst NiMH's don't.

Low self discharge NiMH batteries would be your best choice. Sanyo Eneloops are a good example. I get mine from www.component-shop.co.uk They also do some cheaper LSD-NiMH batteries.

NiMH batteries voltage drop off quickly at the end.

Nice torch by the way. I have one as well.
