I'm sure I've got one of the kids old waterproof jackets kicking around, I'll maybe have a wee play with a couple of pieces at some point, I quite like setting fire to things :D

Seems that silnylon gets a worse rep for flammability than plain untreated nylon, which seems weird given that silicon sealant isn't flammable. :confused:

Back to nikwax.

Aye give it a go. It'd be interesting to know. My joiner mate seemed sure it was wax based. Was him who reminded me of the old neighbour and his soup pot full of petrol.

One of my workmates just clunked a 5l can of fabsil on my desk. A leftover from an awning project that didn't happen.

Guess that's that decision made.

Did notice a juicy big flammable label on the can here but what can you do? Passing up on freebies isn't in my nature. :rolleyes:
