Hi all, been a member for years, but haven't posted or visited for a long time so have no idea what's popular these days, so has anybody any idea if Swedish lk35 rucksacks are still a thing, and how much could I expect to pay for a mint example of the canvas model ?

I saw six on a stand at the bushcraft show this year for £35 each, they were in very good condition...was very tempted.

By the second day only one was left.

I needed another bag, like a hole in the head...so walked on, I heard similar statements from others :-)

I remember seeing a few sales of them on various platforms although I can’t remember the prices. I was wandering myself whether they are still as fashionable as they once were, as there used to be quite a number of YouTube videos featuring them, especially about adding pockets etc. or whether they were, to some extent, a social media led fad. I have both the canvas and cordura versions, as well as a cordura LK70 and the predecessor of the LK35s that was issued to troops with bad backs, as well as an M39 which is my favourite. I do find them all very comfortable to wear, I often use them when I’m doing a big shop.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was trying to get some idea of price because I was trying to work out if it was worth my while to get a full years membership in order to sell one and a few other bits and bobs, on the forum classifieds. I got it years ago and think I paid under £15, but it's unissued, and I've never used it, will probably put it up for sale as it seems it'll cover the membership.

I have one but not because of some possible fashionable. For me the main thing about LK35 is the metal frame. If I would happen to have something heavy to carry I can remove the bag and strap the thing to the frame. Or carry it in the bag attached to the frame. I have no car, see. Only my feet and a bicycle.

I’m in the same situation as you, cycle or walk. I often used mine to take large, often very large parcels/ boxes to the post office fastened to the bare frame with bungee cords. So versatile!
