I wouldn't pay the company anything I wasn't prepared to risk - their last set of accounts showed they had over £300,000 in net liabilities (that's liabilities they could not pay even if they sold all their assets at declared value) and over £900,000 in liabilities due within the year.

Trustpilot isn’t much use these days. Companies can (and do) easily have negative reviews removed. It’s quite tricky to get a bad review reinstated once removed, even with proof of purchase.

Yeah, every day I see a couple of dozen spam emails [*] offering "negative review removal" as a service.
It seems to be a thriving business!

[*] They're all rejected, and the sending hosts are then blacklisted, usually permanently.

Yes i did - this is what i will be doing. mostly good reviews on trust pilot though which seems a bit odd unless these are fake reviews.

I think you need to look at the most recent reviews on trustpilot as well as google reviews.
Same issues from a LOT of people, and I STILL havent had my refund for dodgy faulty boots, even though I followed the steps they said, and the hoops they wanted me to jump through.

Not sure if you can can see the "likes" on my review of the shop, on google reviews, but I often get a "heart" emoji through. In fact I've had a couple today, from people who have read the review and clicked on what ever, google then drops me an email, saying someone liked it or found it useful.

It will actually hit a tipping point soon, when, they have alienated everyone, and people stop buying from them, due them treating customers as cr4p.
Hope you get the kit, and its decent, not a pild of crud as some people have ended up with., OR you get an actual refund, not just an email saying they have refunded... but really they didnt.
