The other day I found an orphaned tent fly for $2 at a thrift store, so I bought it thinking I could turn it into a poncho. I'm not a huge fan of ponchos with a neck-hole in the middle (as with the US ones) so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with other designs that eliminate it (the Russian "plash palatka" comes to mind). Total material I have to work with is about 250x250cm.
