Saw a golden eagle flying over the other side of Glen Orchy last month.

I was led to believe that the local gamekeepers were happy to have them there.
Its not an area that has had poisoning problems in the past so I can't think why it has started now.

Sad to think some people can't appreciate nature in all its forms.

It's not easy to identify and catch those responsible in these cases.

In a given area there are those for and against the flying raptors.

Estates are owned by differing peoples but roving wildlife doesn't know the boundaries of such.

I personally don't see why a proven loss of game or livestock can't be recompenesd by the govt to ensure that all can live side by side.

The same goes for crofters in the isles, proven loss by the likes of Sea Eagle,to be compensated.

I'm a tax payer and that wouldn't bother me.

Of course proven losses and not natural deaths due to disease or carrion removal must prevail.

And how to police same...employ folk to watch over same alongside the Police, then they'll pay tax etc...
