Fire!

This pizza oven is fantastic,but where exactly does the pizza go. Is it underneath where the fire is? Also, does the the fireplace need a chimney or does the smoke just pour out of the hole?
 
The idea is to saturate the clay with heat from the fire, take the fire away, then you cook inside where the fire was previously as you have created an oven!! If its all working correctly the oven should be at some serious temperatures where cooking a pizza should take no more than 45 secs.
 
Thanks for the info Tim and jonny as i wasnt too sure about the use of this oven either.

The Mrs likes it, so its on the cards for the new house next year.

The Forno Bravo site is a mine of info and THIS year I might finally get one built. Good post and thanks for sharing, I could almost smell the stuff cooking while looking at the pictures lol.
 
With a couple of pairs of hands you could probably do it over a long bank holiday Monday! Took me about 3-4 days.
