Photon Freedom Micro-Light

Im looking at a keyring style light for a project and this one seems to fit the bill
(ive used the cheapo ones before and they always fall apart or the switch stops working )

if another suggestion it needs to be symetrical about the LED

Also where to buy

would alos help if i could get soem dimentions or a photo of one to show outline shape and thickness to get me started and see if it will fit where i want

Photon ReX Li-Ion Rechargeable Micro-Light also looks interesting but probably to big for what i want

Ive got one and have had no probs, and its nice and bright. Not sure if the cheeper ones have caught up with the brightness, but a few years ago it was supposed to be the best one. The materials are more robust and you get a gadjet to attach like a head torch to a hat.
There is a dimmer function on it too.
I got mine from woodlore, and theres pics ect there.

just got mine today its an impressive little light.
It does takes a few practice goes to get the functions working.
Not bothered about the Necklace carry bit but he little croc clip could be usfull and its magnetic as well just looks a little breakable

it should fit what i want hopfully last longer than the cheapos ive used in the past

well after using it for a while

Its one of the best personnel lights ive ever had and the little magnetic clamp is unbeatable for flexible use. :thinkerg: :D :D :D

features variable light out put and seveal flash modes as well a morse code mode
all controlled from the one button
normal mode is press ON max light Press OFF
press Hold ON comes on min very dim and you can hold longer till the required light level is reached . youcan alos press hold later to further increase the light a flash on the LED tells you when you are at Max Bright

If On max you can press hold to reduce brightness

Flash modes Slow, Medium fast (strobe:eek: ) and SOS are accessed if you keep holding after a Max or Min Flash these are not something i use but might be usfull to some.

you can put it into Momentary mode (Morse code) where the light only comes on when you press the button and comes of when you release (basically like all the cheapo ones do only)

The press and hold for on dim is great for sorting the baby at night just enough light to see with out waking the world or your night vision etc.

I found it good at the wilderness gathering clipped on my chest to my neck carry knife giving versatile lighing with the swivel for perssonal tasks from min dim light to max bright . has the advantage over a head torch that you dont blind others when you look up . and once in the hammock just clip it on the over head string.
on max and swiveled Fwd it was fine for illuminating the track in front to walk about in the woods with out being offencive

also usfull for DIY etc
ive been using it as a tool light as the magnetic base means i can stick it to my cheapo Drill press

and for electrics clips or sticks any where when running cables and looking in fuse boxes that are always tucked away some where dark and difficult to get to saves biting the maglight base to hard and chipping your teeth  :D

its so good and versatile as is i might not ever get to the project i bought it for as it will reduce the usage :D
