A motor sickle?

:)

Windy

Now - that reminds me of a song..
"I don't want a pickle
I just want to ride on my motor-cicle
And I don't want a tickle
I'd rather ride on my motor-cicle
And I don't want to die
I just want to ride on my motor-cy-cle"

The writer admits it was not his best song - but not bad as it was written/composed while hurtling off a cliff on the back of a motorised bicycle and he thought he WAS going to die.
As it happens, he did not die, but the Police car he landed on did...

Much more interesting - if just as weird - as the knife in question...

The description I gave was of a "traditional" design. Namely from the early 1800s to the early 1900s. Sorry if I made it look like these were still used in modern society, tucked away on most men's person, ready to be pulled when one's single-shot pistol was empty. It was merely another view on the tool in question than had already been offered. A historically based observation in following with a previous mention of provenance. I'd like to think that as a firearms instructor I promoted safety and responsibility, as well. I also think that only telling half the story isn't teaching anything.

Sorry if I've offended anyone.

....And just what would the comments be if a new member proudly posted pictures of their very first attempt at the craft.....and it was this?......

Members here also have an occasional attraction to similarly impractical knives simply for the WOW factor and do indeed post pix. That said, they usually expect the razzing that's sure to follow and take it the manner it's intended (all in fun and often by members with a like interest in specialty knives just for the sake of having it) It's no big deal really, we're among friends.

......Sorry if I've offended anyone.

I get into debates and disagreements often enough here. That said, you'll find that the members aren't normally thin skinned and don't easily take offense. They'll make their own points and just carry on (usually)

I could use a man with a trailer just now to haul away the breeze blocks from the shed my 93 year old Uncle's determined to knock down :sigh:

Auctions are funny things; if you don't get the right audience then things go for peanuts. Get it right and you can buy something you really like with the money :)

Love or hate, there's not many really 'bushcraft' types in this lot though.
