My apologies if its the wrong term but does anyone have a pattern for the leather shot holding cup thing you'd make to go with one of these?
I know I could trial and error it but rather than waste leather I thought I would dip into the font of knowledge here.
I was given the frame along witha bunch of old UK made files to restore a few days back and i thought I would get it working again as well.
They are about 12 inchers. I very nearly rejected a 14" milencut by F.B. Tools as too worn and not worth getting the light coat of rust off as I thought the bands of teath with out nicks in was due to wear not a intentiomal pattern. I pulled it from the rejects I'm saving as potential strike-a-light material when on closer inspection the "worn" rows were as long as the unworn ones with nicks in are, D'oh! Handles are Python 5.5" No. 3s soaked for 24hrs in linseed oil.
I'm wandering so I'll get my coat...
