I am thinking of purchasing a carbon steel skillet. After a bit of research i think i might have settled on the Pathfinder carbon steel skillet in 10".
Trouble is, i cant find any for sale in the UK. This makes me want one even more!
The shortage may be connected to the orange one and tariffs!!
Anyone with any ideas?

Thanks.
It was a toss up between the Gsi and the pathfinder.
Its just that when i started to look to purchase one and then couldn't find any for sale, it bugged me.

The GSI pan is very good - I don’t think you will be disappointed.

If you're hankering for a proper old school one- they do come up on FB market place on occasion.

I guess for many as a cookware item they have fallen out of favour.

I have a couple of carbon steel pans and like them but you need to season them properly.

I just use rapeseed oil, make sure you put on the thinnest possible coating you can using a kitchen towel, coat the inside and outside.
If the coating is even slightly too thick it will turn in to a sticky mess you will have to scrape off.
Put it in a preheated oven at 220c upside down for 30 minutes and then switch off the oven and leave it until cool, It will smoke a bit but that's part of the process.
Repeat this process twice with the thinnest coatings you can and you should get a nice yellowish non stick coating.

Smoke a bit? A BIT? lol. I had to take the batteries out of both smoke alarms, open all doors/windows and explain to the neighbours that my house wasn't actually on fire.
