Owl Class

British Red has the Owl photography all figured out. I never has the reaction time for pix like that.
"push-ups" is amazing. I know that they are remarkably powerful birds but only when the $hit hits the fan
and they really have to power out of a fix. Not like they need to do it 24/7.

I've found winter kill sites. Rabbits? You get to see the feather marks in the snow
as they brake from high speed to hit the prey. A few blood spots and it's over.
Bang and there's not a feather in the snow.

He was a lovely bird. Long eared owl iirc. I actually prefer this shot. Not as amusing but more Owly. He was flown off the glove though. No real skill to get the pictures

British Red, these are terrific photographs! I really like the Little Owl and the horse.

Your two pictures of the captive owl are awesome! While it may not have taken "real skill" for you, I'm impressed at how you kept the moving animal in focus. I would have had a blurry mess.
