just a few pics from our over nighter at the weekend adam was there all weekend but i could only join him on sunday morning the lads got real issues hes just come of exercise with the army and the first thing he does is pack up and go to the woods when he gets homes 
it was a great spot and great to have some wood time to start my weeks holiday
it was a trip of firsts
i finaly got all my gear in a 30l black day pack they now get issued in the army its been a bit of a mission of mine to get a small pack size and ive finally done it and adam was impressed i had nt brought the kitchen sink this time
my kit list for anyone interested is :-
eurohike 500 down bag (4 season)
karrimor explorer self inflating mat
british army tarp/gortex bivy bag
us army metal mug(for cooking and drinking) and water bottle also karrimor nalgene style water bottle
mora knife/folding saw/fire steal
spare fleece
and enough food(look what we found,rice and ration packs) for atleast 2 days including snacks biscuits etc/brew kit
everything i had kept me comfortable even though temps dropped to about 0 over night
adam with his fancy new deluth pack im not at all jealous at all but no 17 yr old should be allowed a pack that nice,i told him if he fell in the river i would rescue his pack but he was a goner lol
my bed for the night with fire in front kept things toasty

the stick next to fire did have salmon but did n't stay around long enough to be photographed lol
