Out for a walk in my daughter and pup to pick up some acrons.

With a plan to attempt to make some acorn flour.

Well the plan was to wash out the tannins using a tank of the toilet... But the wife said no to that

So in a tub of water it is.

I will update with how it comes out.

Nice!!

I made some last year , it blended down into a nice flour and was stable enough to be kept for some time.

Only suggestion i have is you may get better result with moving water as opposed to static for removing the tannins. I'd have left it in the cistern.

Good to know.
My plan is to sneak it back in after the first couple of flushes.

I've gotta admit I boiled mine. I was under some time rush deadline.

However in the research the various suggestions are to leave in lightly mesh bag or net in running stream- makes sense when you think about it.

Last year was a bad year for acorns, but I have noticed more about this year, I guess I will go collecting soon.
