Great thread.

Just an interesting as the plants themselves are peoples reasons and methodology for identifying them. A seperate board for this kind of thing would be an asset.

This is exactly the issue that stopped my foraging career before it started. I went out with a copy of the SAS survival handbook aged 10 and tried to find edible plants. Everything I found said either hemlock, water hemlock or 'Do Not Confuse with Hemlock'. I got so confused I went home and ate sausages for the next 20 years...:eek:
