My Parents used to play Bowls near to there Elen, I'll have to get them up there sometime to see how close they were.

Will try to update here when I hear more. Dr Keith Wray is our archaeologist for our Iron Age hillfort too. Hope to get up there and do some landscape shots to put the place in context. Theyre filling it all in today.

Wow. Astonishing for two reasons: firstly for the sheer mind boggling general ancientness of the find and secondly that the Daily Fail got through the entire article without concluding that the barrows cause cancer/cure cancer/will attract immigrants/will arm 'the yoof' with flaked flint knives to rob pensioners.


Their resident bile spewer must have had a day off. :)

Excellent stuff; I was at the British Museum not long ago gawping at the stone tools. A fascinating period.

Another Professor who has worked in that field is Tim Darvill; he plays in a band called The Standing Stones!
