THIS is the latest find just up the road from me . Back in June they found we have a roundhouse in our Iron Age hillfort, the only one they ever found, now this, 2 Halls of the Dead that are 6000 years old, older than Stonehenge.
WooHoo
I AM older than Stonehenge, Fish ... didn't you know :borgsmile
Will try to update here when I hear more. Dr Keith Wray is our archaeologist for our Iron Age hillfort too. Hope to get up there and do some landscape shots to put the place in context. Theyre filling it all in today.
Wow. Astonishing for two reasons: firstly for the sheer mind boggling general ancientness of the find and secondly that the Daily Fail got through the entire article without concluding that the barrows cause cancer/cure cancer/will attract immigrants/will arm 'the yoof' with flaked flint knives to rob pensioners.
Their resident bile spewer must have had a day off.
