The top one is 550 paracord and I used a button to join it as the knot was getting too big for it to stay on. The button is stitched with tape and remove easily to get to the paracord.
The lower one is made from 3mm climbing accessory cord for the other half as the paracord was too green and too big!
These finish very well and are easy to make, I have varying versions of these all the time on my left wrist.
But they do not pull out quickly.
For that you should consider making a multiple strand chain braid.
