Did you know that there is enough chanterelles growing in some of the woods on the southern coast of Eire to make collection commercially viable.

Great site. I've wanted to learn more about this subject for ages, but didn't want to eat fingi without being able to tell if would be poisonous or not.

I also found the site wild flora of Northern Ireland very useful found I.D of wild plants very easy with the pics and the description.The site was compiled by either The University of Ulster or Queens Belfast you can also email them with any questions you have and they get back to you fairly quickly.
As to the Northern Ireland fungi group they run a foray in different parts of the country(check the website for dates and location),I found the one around the grounds of Stormount very useful.
