Looking more promising now, I accidently left it a bit late to pay a deposit for the christmas do and there are no places left.

Swmbo said she wasn't fussed about going anyway and will enjoy the peace and quiet while we are away.

I finish work on the 14th so I will be there over the weekend

With most of my Norway kit packed, my other warm extras and heavy kit may be making a surface over the meet.

last time i was in NW a couple of weeks ago, i noticed that the meagre log pile might need to be added to sometime soon. can i suggest those who enjoy the communal fire spend a little time out to process a bit of windfall during daylight hours? feel free to bring your favourite saw, axe, etc. might also make a usefull windbreak if we get enough done

Ohhh great! I'll be pack-horse and carry for the cutters, I'm not likely to make a huuuuge contribution with my bow saw but its the first warm off the wood, as my old neighbour used to say, and its such a good craic working with you folks Bill Hook at the ready to learn how to split hazel for a wind break too... I'll grow a pair on the way down so I can work them off while we're there
