Welcome to the first North Wales weekend camp! 24-26 September!
I have arranged an inaugural meet up at the Forest Holidays site in Beddgelert. If all goes well and the site are happy with us, we could be invited back at least on a bimonthly basis. The site is just 2 miles to the north of Beddgelert, and has 700ha of forest to roam around in as well as mountain peaks, rivers and lakes for other activities too.
We will be camping in the woodland just opposite the car park, and there is plenty of room for hammocks, tarps and other tents. If you’d like to camp on the campsite please speak to the site separately. We will have a a communal fire under the parachute area, please remember that this area is an ancient woodland and we cannot allow any ground fires or cutting live wood. Small twig stoves are acceptable provided they are monitored.
There are toilets and showers available, and they have asked if anyone would be interested in any fresh products from the bake house on site. (Please let me know as early as possible so the bake house can be staffed).
The cost for the weekend is £10.00 per person per night, under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by a paying adult. I have limited the weekend to 10 places on a first come first served basis
There are no set plans or projects, but if people would like to come together it could make a fun weekend. There may be a few hours spent on processing communal firewood for the weekend.
